Rich Ellis
Commercial Manager, U.S.

While completing his Bachelor’s degree in Fermentation Science at UC Davis, Rich began his brewing career as a cellar worker at Sudwerk Davis. He left the brewery as director of brewing operations to serve as technical sales manager at Gusmer Enterprises where he worked in filtration and instrumentation sales and support as well as managing the service department. Rich joined malting full time while working at Briess Industries as national sales manager. He joined the Prairie Malt team with 20 years of experience in the brewing industry in a variety of disciplines.

Chris Barrella
Account Executive, Ohio River Valley Region

After graduating with a Business degree from Penn State University, Chris began working in Grain Merchandising at a corn milling plant in Blair, NE. After a year, he moved to Minneapolis joining the Malt Team working in Merchandising and Risk Management. After 5+ years working with barley growers, merchants and brewing partners across global business, Chris joined the Prairie Malt team in February 2017. Chris is the Account Executive for the Ohio River Valley region.

Jesse Clark
Western Division Manager, Account Executive

Jesse began his career in the beer industry working between helping package and bartend for Big Boss Brewing in Raleigh, NC.  That quickly turned into a Management position running day-to-day operations for the Taproom, pioneering event work and acting as an effective liaison between all the moving parts of the company and community.  This is where his passion for the beer industry flourished and he developed his sales and relationship building skills.  He has been a Cicerone Certified Beer Server since 2014 and has almost a decade of management experience in the industry.

Scott Insley
Sales Account Professional – West Region

After graduating from college Scott began his career in the beer industry working in hospitality at Stone Brewing in Escondido, California. He proceeded to earn the position of San Diego District Manager with Green Flash Brewing, where he sharpened his customer service skills and developed a well-rounded understanding of the technical side of brewing. He then worked at Craft Sourcing Collective, a beverage group purchasing organization, where he became further entrenched in the brewing ingredient market. Scott’s strong sales background, his enthusiasm and his technical proficiency made him especially well equipped to pursue a career at Prairie Malt. Scott has been engrossed in the vibrant California craft beer scene for more than a decade and has developed industry knowledge and practical expertise that has allowed him to thrive as a vivacious and knowledgeable Sales Account Professional on the West Coast.

Liam Colford
Account Executive, Northeast Region

Liam comes from a craft beer distribution background managing sales for both boutique and large scale breweries in Brooklyn and Manhattan. His Cicerone Beer Server certification and understanding of craft beer styles will be an asset to his customers regarding recipe formulation. His past responsibilities for one of New York’s premier craft beer houses provides him with a unique understanding of the competitive landscape of craft beer in the Northeast region. He plans on drawing from his experience to best assist his customers in brewing beer that tastes world-class, maximizes profitability and caters to the discerning palates of the Northeast market.

Jeremy Janus
Account Executive, Mountain Region

Jeremy began his career in the brewing industry at the age of 18.  He started in distribution, sales, and marketing while pursuing his undergraduate degree in Food Science at Colorado State University.  After partaking in the brewing sciences class at CSU, he decided to further his brewing knowledge by completing the Master Brewers Program at UC Davis.  Jeremy had the opportunity gain experience in brewing and sales for great companies in the brewing industry- Anheuser-Busch, Avery Brewing, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, and Founders Brewing.  He joins the Prairie Malt team with 12 years of experience in the brewing industry and is the account executive for the Rocky Mountain Region.

Jonathan Parker
Account Executive, Southern Region

Jonathan began his career in the beer industry in 2007 working in sales and account management for a beer distributor in Atlanta, Georgia. During this time, Jonathan became a certified beer cicerone and started pursuing his passion for craft beer. In 2014, Jonathan accepted a position for a local brewery, Jekyll Brewing, where he helped build their local brand and sales team. From there, Jonathan joined New Belgium Brewing, one of the top craft breweries in the nation, managing their territory in Georgia and the Carolinas. With over 10 years of experience in the beer industry, Jonathan joined Prairie Malt team in 2019 with a wealth of knowledge and deep relationships in the Southeast where he manages the Prairie Malt craft malt territory.
