Commercial Manager, U.S.
While completing his Bachelor’s degree in Fermentation Science at UC Davis, Rich began his brewing career as a cellar worker at Sudwerk Davis. He left the brewery as director of brewing operations to serve as technical sales manager at Gusmer Enterprises where he worked in filtration and instrumentation sales and support as well as managing the service department. Rich joined malting full time while working at Briess Industries as national sales manager. He joined the Prairie Malt team with 20 years of experience in the brewing industry in a variety of disciplines.
Account Executive, Ohio River Valley Region

Starting during his time at the University of Vermont, Jon interned with Mass Bay Brewing. After college, he joined Fedway Associates and learned the distributing side of the business, before heading back to beer. He got his official start with the since departed Catamount Brewing in Vermont, then hopped to the import side of the beer business, spending over 10 years with Newcastle and close to 10 with St Killian Importing out of Boston, working with brands like Carlsberg, Bitburger and Young’s Double Chocolate. Nothing beats a well-made beer created with Prairie Malt.

Beau is an Advanced Cicerone and 8 year veteran of the craft beer business, with stints at Finch Brewery and Goose Island Beer Company in Chicago, and is happy to be working for Prairie Malt, the largest provider of malted barley in the world!
Beau began as a homebrewer, and got his start at Finch on the canning line, from there working his way up to cellarman, running tours, and eventually sales for the Chicagoland Region. After moving to Goose Island, Beau was a sales representative in Chicago for two years before transitioning to Marketing, all while serving as a regular taste panel member and contributing to the education team. Along the way Beau became an Advanced Cicerone, as well as a Certified Bourbon Steward and a Certified Cider Professional.
In his spare time, Beau enjoys judging competitions as a certified beer judge, is a panel member at the Beverage Testing Institute in Chicago, and regularly judges at competitions such as FOBAB and GLINTCAP. As well, Beau enjoys nerding out over well-made lager, particularly Helles. Cheers!
Southwest Account Executive

George’s love for beer and spirits started when he was studying history at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. While studying, he managed the beer selection at the local bottleshop and became obsessed with beer history. After graduating he began working as a Division Manager in NYC for beer importer B United International, where he worked for 6 years. While managing the fast paced NY market, George helped with recipe and brand development and read too many beer history books. George is excited to bring his experience to Prairie Malt and the Golden State.

Liam comes from a craft beer distribution background managing sales for both boutique and large scale breweries in Brooklyn and Manhattan. His Cicerone Beer Server certification and understanding of craft beer styles will be an asset to his customers regarding recipe formulation. His past responsibilities for one of New York’s premier craft beer houses provides him with a unique understanding of the competitive landscape of craft beer in the Northeast region. He plans on drawing from his experience to best assist his customers in brewing beer that tastes world-class, maximizes profitability and caters to the discerning palates of the Northeast market.

Jeremy began his career in the brewing industry at the age of 18. He started in distribution, sales, and marketing while pursuing his undergraduate degree in Food Science at Colorado State University. After partaking in the brewing sciences class at CSU, he decided to further his brewing knowledge by completing the Master Brewers Program at UC Davis. Jeremy had the opportunity gain experience in brewing and sales for great companies in the brewing industry- Anheuser-Busch, Avery Brewing, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, and Founders Brewing. He joins the Prairie Malt team with 12 years of experience in the brewing industry and is the account executive for the Rocky Mountain Region.
Account Executive, Southern Region

Jonathan began his career in the beer industry in 2007 working in sales and account management for a beer distributor in Atlanta, Georgia. During this time, Jonathan became a certified beer cicerone and started pursuing his passion for craft beer. In 2014, Jonathan accepted a position for a local brewery, Jekyll Brewing, where he helped build their local brand and sales team. From there, Jonathan joined New Belgium Brewing, one of the top craft breweries in the nation, managing their territory in Georgia and the Carolinas. With over 10 years of experience in the beer industry, Jonathan joined Prairie Malt team in 2019 with a wealth of knowledge and deep relationships in the Southeast where he manages the Prairie Malt craft malt territory.
